So you’ve just had a hard evening working behind the sticks and 您’re thinking the same thing 您 always do after a hard weekend shift. If only everyone was up to the job as much as 您 are yeah. It would save a lot of time and effort on 您r part and create more time for having fun and living the life of a 酒吧tender. Well go grab 您rself a whisky, I’La着Laphroig，坐下来学习如何使别人变得更好。
Now obviously to be able to do this 您 are going to need the skills 您rself. If 您 don’t feel up to speed 您rself then how can 您 teach others? If 您 are unsure then go back to 我的二十诫 and immerse 您rself in them every shift and it won’t take 您 long to move up that ladder and become an expert in 您r field.
的first thing 您 got to do is split that team up 在您的脑海中或一张非常仔细地隐藏的纸上。
Okay so grab a pen and paper and do that for 您r 酒吧.
好吧唐’t, just don’t. imagine investing all 您r time into these guys and ending up with nothing but an 平均 酒吧 team with a few still at the top because they have never been challenged, the best when they stay the best become lazy at the top or not challenged enough 您 will find them moving on to new 酒吧s where the grass seems greener for them.
This is what 您 do. You take the names of all those that fit into the ‘Average’ section and 您 work out the specific needs for that person. It is important to only 培养 one thing at a time. It can be broad or it can be specific but it needs to be one thing at a time. These small goals will help YOU feel as though 您 are really starting to make a dent into increasing the knowledge of 您r team.
But why am I 培养ing the 平均 people?
When 您 培养 the 平均 crowd it does three things.
- 的‘average’ bunch becomes 您r tools to use behind the 酒吧 on a day to day basis. Remember when we said that 您 are not to 培养 the beginners? Well this is because 您 have made their progress the ‘Average’男人的责任。
- 的beginners see a pack moving away from them and leaving them behind. This triggers the question 问ing and the intent for learning thus creating a great baseline team for 您r self to work with
So as 您 can see we have moved the whole team-up.
的most effective way to 培养 is to have patience. There is no quickfire method that is guaranteed to work. 什么 is guaranteed though is that 您 get out of 培养ing what 您 put in. remember working smart is better than working hard.
Simply this is showing the 培养ee either a skill in action or how 您 want them to behave. 节目 them as if they were to mirror 您r actions
现在它’s time to 问. We are not 问ing a direct question here. We are 问ing them, in this analogy, if there is anything else left for them to do. Push them for the answer. “是的，我要去储存冰箱” and again we watch
的most important aspect of 您r 培养ing regime is this part. Refrain 您rself from doing the ‘ask’ part again. It’s difficult but 您 have got to do it. This is where 您 are looking for them to complete an action without 您r prompt. Pay close attention to them, if they don’这样做，他们还没有在大脑中养成习惯。
This is where 您r patience can be tested but if 您 persevere it will save 您 a lot of headaches down the line. Imagine coming into work and everything is perfect, just perfect. As in 您 couldn’t of done it better 您rself.
If 您r 培养ee as completed it correctly that congratulations 您 can move on to the other things 您 need to 培养 them on or other people who need 您r help. You have successfully created a habit that will be very hard for them to break
Don’t give up if it seems hard. Once the lessons are ingrained 您r life will become a lot easier.
